Try $ ps -efH | less and look for the parent entry of the pinentry process. In case that does not work, try identifying the server you're connecting to, either via $ netstat -ntp or by using wireshark to sniff out local traffic. Both are considerably more involved than the ps solution, hopefully that gives you a clue.
