Some years ago - after the disclosure by Snwoden - I tried to convince lawyers and tax agents I work with to communicate encrypted. No chance, even if I offered my support to set this up. One told me 'Important things are send by SnailMail anyway', showing that the awareness and understanding about privacy is just not there.

Yes. About a decade ago I had to send some papers by email to a lawyer, and he was unable to setup encryption (remote help failed). Not PGP, I think, but PKCS keys.
