If you need to use a WLAN with a shared key, you can quit knetworkmanager and launch nm-applet instead (given you have it installed), which allows the right configureation.
Where can I find nm-applet, please?
Let's hope knetworkmanager will gain support for this in an online-update (and 11.1-targeted Factory).
