Couldn't they be performed at shutdown instead of boot?
Whenever someone starts the computer it means 100% they need it right then.
When I halt my computer I'm waiting in a hurry to be off; when I'm booting I'm not going anywhere. Plus, when I start working, I want it to be in full order. It is fine the way it is, though faster would be nice :-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
