A problem with the reboot following an update from 12.2 RC1 to 12.2 RC2 was noted in the Forums. This contribution by user rengejao identifies the problem. He/She writes
======================================================================= Hello, I don't speak very well english. I had the same problem. It's because of the update of the kernel. And the grub.cfg file cannot be actualized. I had this:

There's no /etc/grub.d/05_menu_color in grub2 package (and in upstream source too), probably this is a user custom script and we can't help too much. Thanks, Michael
There was an error generating the initrd (1) warning: %posttrans(mkinitrd-2.7.0-62.5.1.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
--------------------
The file grub-mkconfig_lib is in /usr/share/grub2, not in /usr/lib/grub. So i made a symbolic link and it works!
Code: -------------------- ln -s /usr/share/grub2/grub-mkconfig_lib /usr/lib/grub/grub-mkconfig_lib --------------------

I don't use Grub2 (yet), thus I don't know if this link is the correct fix, or if the script should be changed (more likely I think); however, the contribution does identify the problem.
