I cannot even get Milestone 0 to boot into Live mode on the Thinkpad so naturally I am not sympathetic to the inability to do a *Net install* :-) .
What happens if you load the initrd and linux from the repos or net iso using Grub? That's how I start most installations here.
I really would not know what would happen as I wouldn't even attempt to do this - principally because I haven't a clue what you are talking about :-) . But, secondly, why should I try and do this. I don't expect to have to jump thru hoops to be able to have the 808MB blob of 0s and 1s simply boot into LIVE mode and nothing else :-) . It won't boot into LIVE mode on an AMD system nor on an Intel system with 'safe mode' and any other "mode" you can think of :-) . OK, I know that this is MIlestone 0 but really..........
