What is also important IMO is to be able to install and run sshd easily. If you are offering support to someone, sometimes there is a need to log in remotely. If sshd is not installed by default, you need to give instructions how to do it. The easier those instructions are, the better. Probably zypper install sshd rcsshd start would be the best, but it means the sshd port needs to be opened by default in the firewall.
