That makes sense. But that means that the gap between SLE and openSUSE will increase with number of SPs, increasing efforts for both parties, or is there some plan to keep sharing the effort in preparation for next major SLE release?
Why would the gap increase with SLE SPs? My understanding (which might also be wrong and stand corrected): SLE SP changes will be inherited into openSUSE 42(*) and probably result in 42.2 for SP2, 42.3 for SP3 and so on where minor releases are really minor releases in future where people should be able to safely upgrade to. The next major SLE (and openSUSE ?43?) would be based on Factory/Tumbleweed again and we start from the beginning. Wolfgang (*) let me just call it 42 here to make sure it's clear what I mean -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
