Ok I undesrtood the *alien* software update app is _"gnome- software"_!
Alien is a strange choice of word... but be my guest :)
Wonder if I can get rid of it by uninstalling and by living just with the default *"gpk-update-viewer"* also because just for updating simple audio video packages, it ask me to install and reboot(?) in fact there is a single button in its GUI "Reboot and Install" that's a weird option/request IMHO, since I'm not installing new kernel or vídeo drivers...Is there a configuration setting for this app?
gnome-software is *more* than a package updater - it just happens to offer this option in plus. G-S is a Software Center You can disable the automatic downloading of updates by g-s using: gsettings set org.gnome.software download-updates false Cheers, Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
