Its the "Use your own dogfood." slogan.
Zenworks is part of Novells portfolio and not using it, or only having it as add-on product would look bad in the end.
There are for sure integration issues, which we will hopefully address in time.
The SL 10.1 distribution will use rpm-md+ repositories I have just heard, so smart (?) yum (?) will work fine too for updating 10.1. (This is not finalized yet.)

It doesn't really matter if Novell uses the MS .net "initiative" for own software products in a mixed environment. This is a point I do not understand nighter...
Is there any company, who needs this Zenwhatever integration besides Novell themself?? With other words: all the work you are putting in the package manager now, is it for Novell internal IT only, or will _really_ profit other companies, too? -- Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Marcel Hilzinger
