Over the past 18-24 months, every milestone releasee (and a few final releases) of openSUSE has the same major problem with either the latest (release) versions of VirtualBox or VMware Player. 1) You can't run the installer from a LiveCD without booting to the Live CD desktop first. 2).After installing from the Live CD and booting into the into the Installed OS the spash screen apperars (I'll Esc to see what's going on under the hood) and the boot process appears nromal untill the point where one would be looking at A) KDM or B) GDM or c) a KDE/GNOME desktop. Instead of getting A-C you get a blank, black screen. Is this a (maddeningly old) bug or a feature? During the same period, simier versions of Fedora, Mandriva and Ubuntu have not had this issue. They "just work". What are they doing right? Curiously, Scott -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
