---- I'd like to remind people of the choice of patching systemd to split it apart so that it can be replaced modularly. That way we can still use parts of it that might be useful. (I try not to throw out the baby with the bath water). Like... and don't laugh, this is off the top of my head... but if systemd also consumed a copy of 'bash'... (ha.. watch that idea come -- that the prompt will have to be systemd as well! -- ARG: NO!) only so much that it could interpret startup scripts. If a criticism was that there were too many processes at the start, then I'd say interpret them with multiple threads of the same process.
