Hello, A few days ago, on the Packaging ML was an announcement that glibc 2.8 is now available in Factory. This is a very interesting update and requires some testing of other applications as well... Unfortunately, so far, I can not spot glibc 2.8 on factory repositories... in general, it looks like factory is stale since 9. April... not a single updated rpm was pushed to the mirrors (checked with download.opensuse.org). If I follow the commit list, there must have been dozens of updates since then though... is there something stuck or what is blocking those packages to be synched out?
