Using the KDE CD to boot from is ok, but it's a bit big - perhaps we could have a mini-iso image (usually less than 50Mb) included on the DVD?
Aren't there mini-isos at opensuse.org?
I haven't seen any (for the Alphas) for a while. Or maybe they are not being mirrored.
Anyway, as long you only need it to boot from, it should in fact be ok to burn just the first 25MB or so of the DVD iso to a CD.
Hmm, that might be worth a try - I was also thinking of the download size though; bit of a waste to download 700MB when you only need 25Mb ... :-) Actually, the optimal solution _might_ be to amend the mkbootdisk script: "/boot/i386/mkbootdisk" and enable it to also make the mini-iso? /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - your spam is our business. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
