If apparmor causes a problem, you'll know anyway - if it prevents unauthorized access, you don't _really_ need to know, but otherwise you would just do a regular review of the logfile. (is there any SNMP support for apparmor?)
In my experience, apparmor causes no problems, and uses very limited resources. I see no real reason to remove from the default installation. From what I have gathered so far the issue with app-armor is primarilly with networked services that aren't configured with the correct profile. If such is
