Unfortunately, the isn't a version of memtest for the ppc.....
Yes, shame. I ran the install with only 256M and it went fine. No sign of the failure-to-reboot either, so no bug report FTTB. This time I chose XFCE4 desktop, very responsive even with the reduced RAM. A nice touch - or maybe a bug - was that the external USB DVD with the full install medium in it was automatically sensed and used by the boot CD - whether I wanted it or not. Useful, if unexpected.
Am I right in thinking that a "Wallstreet" is essentially the same beast as my G3, but as a laptop? Probably some important differences under the cover though. Here's mine: http://lowendmac.com/pb2/wallstreet-powerbook-g3-ii.html
Yes, not quite the same beast, though clearly related. -- Cheers Richard (MQ) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
