You sure you don't have bad hardware, because I yet have to see Gnome stuff crash. And when you then say that ALL gnome stuff crashed with you, I would asume there is something else going on.
MY hadrwaee is ok, and works with KDE .

I must agree with houghi, I haven't seen Gnome crash often, I've seen the odd gdesklet freeze if the machine is left on for multiple days, but apart from that... The only real problem I've had with Gnome is its penchent of opening icon sized windows for things that would normally go in the task tray area... Dave -- "I got to go figure," the tenant said.
