For build-compare, we compare that the files are the same of the current build and the last build - and thus throw away the new build if they are the same.

According to the build log the file is generated using ImageMagick's convert tool. Google finds this: http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16406 Describes both how to compare image files and how to get rid of the time stamps in the first place.
