[opensuse-factory] Trouble with iSCSI over LVM and EXT4 mounted drive

I use a Netgear ReadyNAS 102 with actual FW-version 6.0.8 as iSCSI LUN. So with older Tumbleweed System/Kernels (daily updated) it works fine with to HDDs LUNs via iSCSI mounted to one LVM device formated with EXT4 as Backup destination. Since some weeks - I've some trouble with this drive. After a rsync or delete of a subrtee, it was remounted as read only. I've searched a while about possible reasons, but can't find it. I've also tested some different settings in the /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf but no effect. Same error as anyone. All my LOGs and Settings you can find as ziped appendix on this mail. Ub22

[opensuse-factory] automount feature?

I would, at least, like my automounter to handle paths in //<host> and to try them first as CIFS paths. Does the automounter support fallback on failures? like if there was no CIFS host at //server, but there was an NFS host, could it fall back to NFS if CIFS was not found? But primarily and up-front -- how can I have '//' be a lookup for network file systems? This is from mount <mountpoint> on 13.1m3. The mountpoint and fstab entries are identical and working in 12.3 on same system. Hello, the value of rpm macro %{suse_version} is 1230, it should be something greater than 1230 (see http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_cross_distribution_howto#Dete…). [opensuse-factory] On kmod-compat replacing m-i-t

Currently, the only package that still blocks the removal of module-init-tools from a system is the kernel rpm package, with an express dependency "module-init-tools >= 3.4". What is so particular about m-i-t 3.4? [opensuse-factory] Removed rebuild counter sync

Hi, Our product builder seems to be overly stressed these days - just yesterday I waited the whole day to get a DVD for testing ;( So I now removed the counter sync from the factory media, which means you will only see a new medium if its content changed and Milestone4 will only be "random" numbers and not a single counter. Once we have solved the product builder issue (not yet sure what it is though) we can reenable it, but that will most likely be in september. [opensuse-factory] Gstreamer 0.10

Hi Listmates, I know that one of the intentions for openSUSE 13.1 was to get ride of the old version of gstreamer (0.10) and to have only the lastest gstreamer (1.0). At the start of the factory development cycle, this looked ok as that a number of KDE projects started the port to Gstreamer 1.0 as well. The current status is however that neither KDE and Qt are fully supporting GStreamer 1.0 and still require the old GStreamer 0.10 version. Even the latest Qt 5.1 still requires GStreamer 0.10 for it's multimedia library. Also from a KDE perspective the Phonon gstreamer backend also still depends on GStreamer 0.10, although theoretically we could switch the default backend to VLC. I know that this is a burden on the Gnome community team as that they are maintaining the GStreamer packages., but I hope that we can still have both versions in 13.1 so that all desktops can enjoy their respective multimedia functions. Hi all, Due to unware of openSUSE 13.1 development schedule, I got a sincere reminder from Ludwig Nussel that we already past the feature freeze with Milestone 4 now. So far, my RD already finished the work on x86-64 part but the i586 still work on progress.
