[opensuse-factory] How to become a maintainer of a package...

Hi, quite some time ago I submitted a package called python-killswitch to devel:languages:python. In order to submit it to Factory, it seems I need to be maintainer, but I'm not. Anyway, I couldn't find any information where to request maintainership of a package, also I couldn't find any better list to write this to, so please give me a hint, thanks. Hi all, I update the Java:packages/java-1_6_0-openjdk to the recent released version(s). OpenJDK drop is b18 and icedtea patchset is icedtea6-1.8.1. This update also fixes the broken stack protector patch causes a lot of JVM crashes. The most notable change is the new plugin is default one and the so file is called NPlugin.so as the old one. There are some Metacity related fixes, security and crash fixes. [opensuse-factory] nVidia/Xorg problems on 11.3?

Time to post to this ML I think :-) I started a discussion on the user mailing list about a problem with my 11.3 install. Using Nouveau, KVM, defaults, KDE4 is full of corrupted graphics and will periodically crash - this is something reported by a few people in various places (ML, forum etc). On top of that I was experiencing short freezes in KDE. The entire desktop would lock for 2 or 3 seconds and then continue. During that lock, the computer would not respond at all.... the CPU fan would spool up (which it usually does when the CPU is under heavy load) for the length of the freeze. I installed the latest nVidia binary drivers - 256.35 - which was only possible by disabling KVM and blacklisting Noeveau and adding nomodeset to the boot params. The freezing problem persisted after installing the drivers and rebooting (including multiple reboots). I ssh'ed to the problem machine and ran top to try and monitor what was going on during a freeze. When a freeze occurred, Xorg would shoot up to 100% CPU. Through all this, nothing relevant is being written to /var/log/messages etc. I stumbled on the "solution" if you can call it that... for other reasons I installed the latest kernel from Kernel:Head - kernel 2.6.35-rc6. After rebooting (and rebuilding the nVidia driver), the freeze problem has gone away. Xorg stays in the range of 1% to 25% CPU (25% being peak) with an average of about 10% or so during desktop activity (screen updates, animations, etc... usual KDE4 stuff) - so it's behaving correctly now... and after several hours of heavy use, the freeze problem has not resurfaced. Hey Group; Not a openSuSE 11.3 problem When I run "mandb" it works correctly but on many files it shows an error. Like with about all files with "::" in them and "What is parse for" on many others. I suspect that the :: is cauced by a lack of \:|: and the "psrse" question is due to a wrong format type. What is the answer to the parse question?
