Hello,
--- Rob Keeling
on our (currently) NT4.0 network
Pah.
however they stubbornly refuse to work with DHCP, however static IP`s are fine. The DHCP server is running on NT 4.
What I would like to know is:-
How do I make Suse look up a IP etc from the NT server.
Assuming that the server has a non-static IP address, then you could try the following: Under Linux, there are several files that you can tweak, such as the following: 1. /etc/nsswitch.conf 2. /etc/route.conf 3. /etc/nscd.conf
Can I use the info in the NT 4 wins server to create DNS info for the Linux machines?
I am considering moving DNS & DHCP to linux in the future, but would like to get things working with NT for now.
Any help gratefully received!
