Because of this, I think that we don't need one too soon, I think we need time to hack out some details first. I have several ideas for ensuring that the discussions are as productive via email as we can make them (as I am sure other people have too), but lets talk about that on the osie lists ... (probably give people until tomorrow night (Thurs) and then start talking on osie ... ?)
Sounds sensible to me. As of 11:59pm Thursday, I will post no more OSIE-related correspondence to this list (I know that several people are getting overwhelmed by the sheer volume of traffic). At Roger's request, I have created another list: osie-admin@lists.sourceforge.net, to be used for the "admin" team (whoever that turns out to be and whatever functions it ends up carrying out). Roger has asked that anyone who wants to be on this list e-mail him with a brief note stating what you want to do in an "admin" role. I don't expect that it will be impossible to join this list at a later date, so if you're not sure whether or not you want to be on the "admin" list (or if, like me, you're not sure exactly what being on the "admin" list entails), then you can always play safe and just join the osie-general list for now. [Reminder: to join the osie-general list, which now has a membership into double figures and includes most of the frequent contributors to the recent OSIE threads on this list, go to http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/osie-general ] I expect to be making only one more OSIE posting to this list: a clarification of the intentions of Fen Systems with regard to OSIE (It has been drawn to my attention that some people may have misinformedly jumped to the conclusion that our intentions are not 100% honourable, and I want to clear up any potential misunderstandings before work begins on OSIE proper).
