Hi! Currently a renaming of KDE3 and KDE4 packages from foo to kde3-foo and kde4- foo to foo in openSUSE:Factory and other BuildService repositories is underway. I have two question about this. I am maintaining filelight (currently KDE3, I will submit the KDE4 version when it is stable) and kde4-knemo. In my opinion these shall be renamed, too, to match the naming conventions of openSUSE 11.2. Is this right? Renaming in the BuildService can be made with "osc copypac" and "osc deletepac" for the old package. As far as I can see, I cannot do this myself, because I have not the permissions needed in the project. So, if the packages should renamed and the time has come to do the rename, can someone with enough karma do the copypac and deltepac steps for me, so that I can make the remaining changes in the spec files? Or shall I remove the packages with the origninal names and submit the renamed packages again instead?
