I have no clue how we will handle about that, but I like to remember
that I saw Izabel talking with the someone from Enlightment too
So in Fosdem I heard about to have GNOME, KDE and Enlightment at oSC13.
For us that are spreading the freedom of Desktop choice, I believe
will be good to have them over there.
Of course, I agree that we need to care a lot to not change oSC to
some general open source event ;-)

Hi,
I understand Henne concerns. We need that the event works to get our community much closer. Bringing third parties might distract us from that goal. On the other side, as a distribution project, we are integrators, so our nature is to bring other projects to our ecosystem.
One of the challenges for the organization team will be to find ways of achieving both goals. This can be done by limiting the number of days the booth from non sponsors are available, or clearly separating areas, or.....
Last year this issue was addressed by limiting the number of days the booths were available. Did it work? I assume there are different points of view.

I'd like to ask Stella, Kostas, Izabel, Robert and all other opinionated people :D to have a look at the google doc with the conference sponsorship brochure and tell me if they are OK with this.
I still don't think we want booths. We're not a general purpose FOSS event but the get-together of the openSUSE community. What would be have booths for?
If a sponsor chooses to have a booth why not?
A boot is a good way for a sponsor to hand out stuff and start conversations that may not happen otherwise.
