there was no official answer to the SuSE 9.3 topic. Is there a chance to get SuSE 9.3 back into the buildservice or is the only alternative to setup an own buildservice?
Yes, this is the only option.
But please note that SUSE does not deliver security updates for it and I know know one else who is doing it for the product.
So it is quite risky to run it, without knowing what actually might be insecure in it...
So large parts of the Strato server room are insecure - they still offer only 9.3 on their virtual servers (and Debian Sarge, but that's another story and OT here ;-) On root servers, they offer "openSUSE 10" (*argh* another one that got the name wrong) which has at least support until October. BTW: I just sent a mail to Strato. Maybe on some day it will be less work to provide servers with 10.2 than to answer all the questions why they still offer 9.3 ;-)) Regards, Christian Boltz --
You only read the second paragraph, didn't you? Why do you write emails where one has to read the stuff between the first and the last word? [> Stephan Kulow and Dirk Mueller in opensuse-packaging]
