Hello Jos,
Thanks for creating this wiki page.
I don't think integrating the two page is a good idea since "openSUSE:Build_Service_Appliance" talks about the official OBS appliance, and the procedure you transcribed is using OBS Light's custom appliance generated on SUSE Studio. Maybe we can move your page to the "openSUSE:OBS_Light" namespace, and add another entry in the navbar.
That would be another way of doing this, yes. My wiki fu however breaks here - I dunno how to add things to the navbar :D

a short HowTo for those who would like to create an OBS server in the cloud. Having an OBS in the cloud can be an interesting model to get a large server for validation and test without the initial investment or to provide a scalable service.
I have put it online: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:OBSonEC2 With a link to it from: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_Appliance
I think integrating the two pages might be a good idea but I'm not entirely sure if and how that would work. Maybe Florent has a suggestion.
