Hi,
I was trying to help a colleague to use the OBS.
He registered an account (a while ago). When trying to access his home project with osc he gets:
shell> osc co home:XXXXXXXXX
"Server returned an error: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden User is registered but not yet approved. Your account is a registered account, but it is not yet approved for the OBS by admin."
Is there an additional step needed for registration?
Are you sure you are using api.opensuse.org ?
Not api.suse.com or any other instance?
api.opensuse.org does not require approval.
Positiv I checked: apiurl = https://api.opensuse.org [https://api.opensuse.org] user = xxxxxx pass = xxxxxx
If yes I can provide the account name and details.
In case you ensured that you are using the right instance, please do. Check ~/.oscrc or check via "osc -d ..." which URL is used.
osc -d co home:xxxxxx results in: GET https://api.opensuse.org/source/home:xxxxxxx/_meta Server returned an error: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden Date: Thu, 29 Oct 2015 07:19:36 GMT Server: Apache/2.2.12 (Linux/SUSE) Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000 cache-control: no-cache vary: Accept-Encoding x-xss-protection: 1; mode=block x-opensuse-runtimes: {"view":1.7051720060408115,"db":3.438798,"backend":0,"xml":0} x-request-id: 1837a766-106c-4dcb-b844-aa73e9dc725a x-opensuse-apiversion: 2.6.51.git20151028.6b2888d x-runtime: 0.010895 x-frame-options: SAMEORIGIN x-content-type-options: nosniff x-opensuse-errorcode: unconfirmed_user X-Powered-By: Phusion Passenger 5.0.7 Status: 403 Forbidden Content-Type: application/xml; charset=utf-8 Connection: close Transfer-Encoding: chunked <status code="unconfirmed_user"> <summary>User is registered but not yet approved. Your account is a registered account, but it is not yet approved for the OBS by admin. There was a '#' sign in the password which I suspected to cause trouble, so I changed the password of the account. Now I can't log in at all anymore. :-) I think it's simpler just to go through the whole process again and open a new account.
