Both ways should work. It is more a matter what is easier for you.
The 'upgrade info' from 2.6.x to 2.7.x should also be in obs Server 2.6 package. You should be able to read 'Upgrade info' before you start installing packages ;) Don't you think so ? I did setup a box with SLES 12 SP1, then installed obs 2.6.x - rsync -vaxHAX OLDbox:/srv/obs/* NEWbox:/srv/obs/ - did a mysqldump on OLDbox and imported on NEWbox - did modify /usr/lib/obs/server/BSConfig.pm and of course modified /etc/sysconfig/obs-server Is this all or did I forget something ?
