Hi, this person "kssingvo" will never get info about submitreqs, isn't it. He is maintainer of home:kssingvo:Factory made a submitreq for "ddclient" Perhaps anybody knows him and can tell him about this. hope there will be an accept|decline of my submitreq. Hi, I tried to define a "var" in %pre, hoping that this "var" is then known in %post. Example: %pre if [ ${1:-0} -gt 1 ]; then # get version of previuos installed package pre_version=`rpm -q --qf "%{VERSION}" %{name}` fi %post if [ ${1:-0} -gt 1 ]; then if [ -n $pre_version ]; then if [ "$pre_version" = "%{version}" ]; then do stuff fi fi fi but "$pre_version" is not known in %post. I also tried "export pre_version=`.....` with no success. Any Idea ? Hi, is there a "var" for "testing for pre/postinstall" I can use in my spec file. I just want to define %if 1%{?testing for pre/postinstall} do stuff here %endif because I get following error: pre/postinstall/uninstall script of <package> modifies filelist! [opensuse-buildservice] Stapio no process killed

Hey Group; I get a message "Stapio no process killed" every time I boot up SuSE 11.2. it must be coming from a /etc/init.d/file. Does anyone see this error. It is not a kernel error problem. It just pops up. Also "startproc" states "-p does not work in force mode" .
