https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240478 ------- Comment #6 from rodo@novell.com 2007-02-26 02:51 MST ------- Petr, it is duplicate of 221997. So I guess the fix should be already included in the opensuse packages, or not? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240478 ------- Comment #7 from tbullock@canada.com 2007-03-07 14:05 MST ------- There is still no fix available for this bug in the opensuse updates. I just had a demo of new functionality in one of the drivers I am working on and one of the questions I received was: "Why didn't you show your slides in Slide Show Mode?" to which I had to spend 5 minutes of my 20 minute time allotment explaining. It was extremely embarrassing. Can we get the fix for this out on the updates? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240478 ------- Comment #8 from tbullock@canada.com 2007-03-20 00:43 MST ------- The latest updates for open office did not fix this problem. Is there a time line for releasing the fix to this defect? Will it be fixed on 10.2 or not? Please let us know as soon as possible. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240478 ------- Comment #9 from pmladek@novell.com 2007-03-23 11:14 MST ------- I have finally uploaded newer packages for 10.2 at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/OpenOffice.org. The fix should be included there. The latest packages for SL 10.1 and openSUSE 10.2 are also newly built in the Build Service. They can be found at http://software.opensuse.org/download/OpenOffice.org/ Could you please try them? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240478 ------- Comment #10 from tbullock@canada.com 2007-03-25 00:07 MST ------- I can confirm that the version of OO.o in the build service 2.1-14.1 does fix the problem with the crash on closing the slide show. However, this version seems quite unstable. I have experienced several un-repeatable crashes when browsing through the drop down menus (file, edit, etc) Moreover, this is a full version jump from 2.0.4 included with openSUSE 10.2. Is it not possible to get just a stable version of 2.0.4? Will this unstable version of 2.1 be pushed out through the update mirrors to everybody? I manage a number of machines running 10.2 and I would prefer a patch to the current install if at all possible. -Ted -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Ted, it looks serious. Could you please provide some more information? Do 32-bit ot 64-bit system? Do you use 32-bit or 64-bit OOo? Do you use GNOME or KDE or ??? Do you use a quickstarter? Could you please cut&paste output from?: rpm -qa | grep OpenOffice Thanks a lot for help. Hmm, regarding the update for 10.2. I agree that this bug is serious enough to be fixed in an official update. Unfortunately, we have missed the latest update (last week), so we have to wait for the next one. In the meantime, you could use the unofficial update. I hope that we will find the reason of the crashes soon. Alternatively, you might update to the packages from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/OpenOffice.org. The 10.2 subdirectories include also the 2.0.4-38.1.13 that should have the fix as well. Please provide the information above before you do any update. However, I have not tested the packages from comment 9 on openSUSE 10.2. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
