[Bug 307058] New: WLAN interface number is incremented by 1 on reboot
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=307058 Summary: WLAN interface number is incremented by 1 on reboot Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 2 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: roesch@unibt.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer OpenSuSE 10.3, USB WLAN ADAPTER Belkin FD6050 with ATMEL Chipset Installation works OK and network connection is up on initial start with wlan0. After reboot, wlan0 gets incremented to wlan1, and during the boot process no configuration is found for wlan1. Workaround: cp /etc/sysconfig/network/wlan'N' /etc/sysconfig/network/wlan'N+1' rcnetwork restart where N is the wlan interface number of the previous boot. Works only with ifup, not with networkmanager. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
