I have done what you said. After re-ejecting the card i was able to make "ifconfig ra0 up". Now the Activity-LED works. In KNetworkManager I can`t find any wireless-lan. After rcnetwork restart only the "Link-LED" is on. Now I can find my wireless-network in KNetworkManager. If I choose ra0 my wireless-lan works! Switching between wireless and wired network work. BTW: an "ifconfig ra0 down" can`t stop the functionality. An ejecting the card don`t crash the machine. But now after that an "ifconfig ra0 up" says:ra0: unknown interface: No such device An ifconfig ra1 up and rcnetwork restart works again. Everytime I reject the card or reboot the system ra-x is one more then before. In /etc/udev/rules.d/30-net_persistent_names.rules are now more lines then before... Most times I use it, I don`t have to do a rcnetwork-restart to get my wireless-lan in KNetworkManager and can start it. Very seldom I`ve to clear /etc/udev/rules.d/30-net_persistent_names.rules . Most times after clearing and "modprobe -r rt61" there is only the optional ra0-line. Every time I use only "modprobe rt61" I have to restart network after ifconfig ra0 up. Sometimes after inserting the card again or "modprobe rt61" there is still a new line with ra1 at the end. In no cases this module hangs my system Markus -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
