However, I'd be interested in knowing if it's kpowersave,powersaved,the kernel, or xorg that resulted in the fix so that I can update on 10.3 accordingly. I can only assume this low-budget Lenovo laptop has no supported backlight interface atm, so I would tip on the kernel. As I mentioned i can adjust brightness in the latest kernel on Alpha1, FYI. Please see the attached file for the output of lshal and for the command you provided ... opensuse:/home/lontra # grep . /sys/class/backlight/*/* grep: /sys/class/backlight/*/*: No such file or directory If you think it's the kernel after this, please let me know and I'll upgrade the kernel to get brightness to be able to adjust again.
