Would it be because I don't have a battery anymore? you mean BiOS battery ? not sure if bios battery is driving hwclock on every MoBo, but sure THAT`s an issue :)
please mind, that NTP run in daemon mode won`t sync your time when the clock is to far off from the server you`re syncing against. that`s a feature! ;) iirc, there is some config option to circumvent this or you could always do "ntpdate my.time.server" on system startup (and hwclock --systohc on shutdown) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

you mean BiOS battery ?
I have a BIOS battery but I don't have a battery pack to run the laptop without plugging the laptop to the wall plug. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
