The problem is that the necessary indic language glyphs are not in the default unicode font (DejaVu Sans) but are only loaded on demand after you select such a language. You'll never run into this issue at all then. Also, the language name is also shown in English. I am only providing the technical infrastructure to load fonts on demand. Maciej, you have no idea how lengthy this was discussed in the past. The ideal solution would be to put together a font with just the needed dozen or so glyphs.
