[Bug 654949] New: USB headset volume set to 0 after reboot
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=654949 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=654949#c0 Summary: USB headset volume set to 0 after reboot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: ginkobonsai@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 SUSE/3.6.12-0.7.1 Firefox/3.6.12 I have gnome with pulseaudio running on my Asus Eee 1000H. The Master volume of my USB headset (configured in YaST as the 2nd soundcard) is reset to 0 after each boot - almost no sound. I can't use the pulseaudio volume control to rectify this, but using amixer to set the volume to something more than 0 on the console (even as a normal user) works. After that I can use sound normally. However, doing this after each reboot is a bit annoying. Is there a way to make the volume stick? Pulseaudio version: 0.9.21-10.1.1.i586 Alsa version: 1.0.23-2.12.i586 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Turn on Eee - headset volume is set to 0 Actual Results: No or very low sound output on the headset Expected Results: Ideally, the volume would be the value from before the last shutdown. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
