[Bug 913425] New: Missing characters in GTK+ applications
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=913425 Bug ID: 913425 Summary: Missing characters in GTK+ applications Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org Assignee: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: psychonaut@nothingisreal.com QA Contact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 619808 --> http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=619808&action=edit Screenshot showing missing characters I use openSUSE 13.2 and KDE 4.14.3. After running my system for some time (several hours or days), all GTK+ applications stop displaying certain text characters. This renders these applications completely unusable until I restart. (See the attached screenshot.) Qt applications are unaffected. This problem has been reported for other distributions. At https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=186783 users report the same problem with ArchLinux and Kubuntu. a Debian bug report at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=760435 suggests that the problem is in libglib rather than in KDE. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
