[Bug 223727] New: catalogue is not found during installation
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223727 Summary: catalogue is not found during installation Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 1 Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jur@tuxman.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Hello, I just installed the RC1 of Suse 10.2 from the dvd image I downloaded via bittorrent. I have 2 dvd rom drives, /dev/hdc and /dev/hdd. I had the suse dvd in drive hdd and a different dvd (some game) in hdc. when I choosed "new install" during installation, the installer failed to find the catalogue (whatever that means), so the install was impossible. Then I removed the dvd from /dev/hdc and everything worked fine. It seems the installer might get confused, when there is a another dvd drive with a medium installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223727 ------- Comment #2 from suse-beta@cboltz.de 2006-12-04 14:59 MST ------- could be a duplicate of bug 223559 (which is marked as a duplicate of the non-public bug 63430 - which seems to be a too low number for this. IIRC there were no problems with multiple CD/DVD drives up to 10.0...) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
