[Bug 164093] Touchpad jumps and "stutters" on Amilo A7640: "psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio2/input0 lost sync at byte 1". ACPI EC related?
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=164093 roeland@linux-it.nl changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |roeland@linux-it.nl ------- Comment #15 from roeland@linux-it.nl 2006-10-13 06:40 MST ------- hi, I also have a laptop here with exactly the same problems as mentioned in the original bug. Note that when acpi=off is selected, the bug doesn't roar it's ugly head. However, that work-around also causes the lsusb to report 3 devices instead of 4 devices; also, when you use USB, the device is not being recognized. The laptop is an acer 1360wlmi. The laptop is completely useless at this point. The kernel in use is 2.6.16.21-0.25-default In the mean time, I will follow the suggestions and recompile the kernel etc in order to see if that makes any differences. I have added myself to the cc list for this bug. ps, I didn't see ACPI related errors myself, only the well known psmouse.c touchpad at isa0060/serio/input0 lost sync at byte 1 (or 4) followed sometimes by unable to query synaptics hardware. it can be directly seen when looking at vc10's messages and use the touchpad. I'll report if a fix works. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
