It works for me for both hotplugged UPS and UPS attached before boot. zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_USB_DEVICE_CLASS # CONFIG_USB_DEVICE_CLASS is not set It does not work just after update: You have to replug UPS or reboot after upgrade. I'll check, whether there is any simple solution of this problem without breaking other USB devices.
