[Bug 359563] New: Konqueror does strange things when reolving incomplete hostnames
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=359563 Summary: Konqueror does strange things when reolving incomplete hostnames Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: cwh@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Entering "partnerfate.suse.de" will lead yo to the correct website. Same when entering "http://partnerfate". But when you enter "partnerfate" konqueror directs you to "einstein.suse.de". Wireshark shows, that KDE correctly completes "partnerfate" to "partnerfate.suse.de" and asks DNS for that. DNS response correctly says, that partnerfate.suse.de is a CNAME for einstein.suse.de. Now konqueror replaces "partnerfate" in URL line with "einstein.suse.de" and accesses einstein.suse.de. As far as I can see that misbehavior appears for all CNAMEs I know of. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
