[Bug 444432] New: main-menu (slab) binds <Super> key in unconfigurable way (blocks gnome-do)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444432 Summary: main-menu (slab) binds <Super> key in unconfigurable way (blocks gnome-do) Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ajorgensen@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- The main-menu (slab) panel applet binds the <Super> (Window) key in some way that it cannot be made to *not* bind it. The key should be bound with the "Show the panel menu" action in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog. Alt+F1 is already bound there. This is a big problem because it blocks users from using gnome-do in it's default configuration. It would be ideal for me if <Super> were *not* bound at all but if it must be bound then it should be done in a way that allows gnome-do users to use Super+Space to summon gnome-do. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This bug was introduced to openSuSE 11.1 with version 0.9.11-22.9.1 of the gnome-main-menu from the openSUSE-11.1-Update repo.
How do you know it's this version of this package? Why not another package? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I have to say that I also updated all compiz rpms. So it could also be in one of the latest compiz rpms. (Sorry to not have mentioned that before.)
It's most likely a compiz package that caused this. Use "rpm -q --changelog $package" for each relevant package to find out what happened. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
