I have those udev rules for my netdevices:
seife@susi:~> grep -v ^# /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*",
ATTR{address}=="00:21:6a:ad:d7:6c", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1",
KERNEL=="wlan*", NAME="air"
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*",
ATTR{address}=="00:26:2d:f4:38:84", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1",
KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="cable"
however, my wired interface still gets the unpredictable interface name:
seife@susi:~> ip a |grep -A1 ^2:
2: enp0s25:
