https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=394375 Summary: Lost network connection Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 3plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ajohansson@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I keep the machines in the office on 24/7. I have three machines connected through the same switch. Two are 11.0 beta3+, one is SLED 10 SP2. The two 11.0 beta machines always lose the network connection overnight. Every morning when I come in to the office, I have to do "rcnetwork restart" to get back the connection The third machine used to be 11.0beta3. I installed SLED on it to be sure it wasn't a local network problem. When it was 11.0beta3, it too lost connection. Now when it's SLED, it doesn't My guess is that the machine tries to renew the DHCP lease and fails. I will enable logging in dhcpcd to see if I can get some good debugging messages from it -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
