--- Comment #23 from Lucas Levrel 2013-12-22 21:05:43 UTC ---
I can't reproduce the good behaviour of my comment #16 anymore!
I've blacklisted mei and mei-me in /etc/modprobe.d/99-local.conf to prevent the
"default" buggy modules to be loaded at boot. Then, if I do this:
insmod /lib/modules/3.11.10-2.g589d077-desktop/updates/drivers/misc/mei/mei.ko
insmod
/lib/modules/3.11.10-2.g589d077-desktop/updates/drivers/misc/mei/mei-me.ko
/var/log/messages gets flooded by:
[ 152.486308] mei_me 0000:00:03.0: setting latency timer to 64
[ 152.486370] mei_me 0000:00:03.0: irq 48 for MSI/MSI-X
[ 157.496095] mei_me 0000:00:03.0: reset: connect/disconnect timeout.
[ 157.496106] mei_me 0000:00:03.0: unexpected reset: dev_state = ENABLED
[ 163.508095] mei_me 0000:00:03.0: reset: connect/disconnect timeout.
[ 163.508107] mei_me 0000:00:03.0: unexpected reset: dev_state = ENABLED
..
(still booting 3.11.10-3.g137a69e-desktop).
