Yes, I see this.
I am not doing osc builds. But I see it when downloading an iso, and I see
surprisingly slow update downloading.
It isn't a big problem for downloading an iso. I use the meta link. The
download starts slowly, but aria2c quickly finds faster sources.
Here's what I get with a mirror lookup for a tumbleweed iso:
---
List of best mirrors for IP address 2602:306:3afd:56b0:bc53:643c:1e1c:6a6b,
located in an unknown country:
Found 27 mirrors in other parts of the world:
---
However, if I add an entry to "/etc/hosts" with only IPv4 address (for
dowload.opensuse.org), I then see:
---
List of best mirrors for IP address 99.175.213.107, located at
41.839199,-88.361198 in United States (US), network 99.168.0.0/13 (autonomous
system 7018):
Found 3 mirrors which handle this country (US):

Found 23 mirrors in other parts of the world:

It looks as if mirrorbrain isn't even trying with IPv6 addresses.
The IPv4 location is a few miles off, but close enough for mirrorbrain.
Other sites that try to locate me with IPv6 are a bit off, but still in the
correct continent. They sometimes put me in Wisconsin (instead of Illinois),
or in Richardson, Texas (the main office of the ISP).
