https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=359740 Summary: Novell VPN cause the VPN IP to be broadcasted by mDNS instead of the local IP Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hfiguiere@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- 1/ Setup Novel VPN to connect to VPN 2/ Make sure mdns works. That means that hostname.local (replace 'hostname' by the real hostname of the machine) will resolve to the LAN IP (this is the setup by default on openSUSE 10.3) 3/ Bring VPN up to connect to Novell. 4/ now resolve hostname.local. it return the VPN IP address not the LAN IP This cause access from another machine on the lan to fail because it does not know how to connect to this address. Expected: the LAN IP should work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
