KMixer.png; more options
I did some testing:
Disabled pulseaudio, booted KDE - mp3 played in Kaffeine.
KMix had more options; see attachment KMixer.png
As shown in the attached file "start pulseaudio.txt":
1. Enabled pulseaudio - mp3 does not play.
2. Tried to play test sound in KMix. Got errors shown in attachments "KMixer
error.png" and "KMixer error2.png"
3. ALSA_CONFIG_PATH was not set, so set it to /etc/alsa-pulse.conf
(How can I make this permanent? It's now needed after every boot.)
4. Started pulseaudio - lots more messages than previous try.
Any significance to the statement: "Dude, your kernel stinks! The chef's
recommendation today is Linux with high-resolution timers enabled!"?
Rebooted, started twm. ncurser yast test sound played. I'm really in the dark
with twm. I need detailed instructions of any testing that would help there.
