Good point. Historically, the script first imported the SEEK constants with
"use Fcntl qw(:seek)", and the "use POSIX" was added later for a different need
(the ceil function). I didn't realize then that POSIX was importing the SEEK
constants again.
Rather than removing he ":seek" from the "use Fcntl" as you suggested, it might
make more sense to tell the POSIX module to only export the things we need
(that is, the ceil function). The fact that POSIX imports everything by default
isn't nice anyway, and preventing it from doing that might prevent future
problems as well. I'll try that on several systems to make sure that it doesn't
introduce a regression.
