FYI - off topic - regarding
"yast-cups module should manage content of cups.conf and cups socket":
It is very questionable if the YaST printer module
(there is no yast-cups module) should kept focussed
on the actual printing setup (as it is now)
or if it should interfere with other system setup
that is usually configured by other YaST modules.
For example
- under what circumstances services should
be enabled/disabled/started/stopped
in what particular way
- how the firewall is configured
- how the network is configured
- what kernel modules are loaded
- ...
All those are somehow related to printing
but they are no actual printing setup.
I would very much prefer to keep the YaST printer module
focussed on actual printing setup (i.e. KISS).
Otherwise the YaST printer module would become a huge
bloatware monster that nobody could maintain any longer.
At least I will never ever maintain actually
unmaintainable bloatware.
What is most important from my point of view:
Overcomplicated software is a nightmare to maintain
so that overcomplicated software could be a main reason
when there are no volunteers who contribute to such software
which could be a main handicap for the whole openSUSE project.
I understand that users may wish to have
"all-in-one-make-everything-right" tools
but in practice nobody can implement such software
that works correctly and continuously maintain it
to keep it working correctly with reasonable effort.
Regarding the YaST printer module in general you may have a look at
